IBM launches US tech initiative to digitalise Pakistani workforce

Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Digital Pakistan, Tania Aidrus, said that the US tech giant, International Business Machines has launched a tech initiative in Pakistan to digitalise the workforce of the country.

Taking to Twitter, the premier's aide said that the digital platform will enable Pakistan in developing talent and will equip people with technical and professional proficiency in AI, Data Science, Cybersecurity, Cloud, etc.

"IBM is launching Open P-TECH in Pakistan to help develop talent and equip them with technical and professional proficiency in AI, Data Science, CyberSecurity, Cloud, etc enabling our workforce for a Digital Pakistan," Aidrus wrote on Twitter.

"Open P-TECH provides career exploration with industry-relevant learning created to keep your attention and motivate you to want to learn more.

Plus, the users will have free access to digital badges from IBM and other partners that can boost your LinkedIn profile or resume to help you get that first meaningful job opportunity," read the text on the official website of Open P-TECH.
