PDM Rally: Maryam, Aseefa head to Multan
Aseefa Bhutto Zardari, daughter of PPP co-chairperson and former president Asif Ali Zardari, boarded on Monday a Multan-bound chartered flight at Karachi airport to attend the Pakistan Democratic Movement’s (PDM) scheduled rally there.

She was received by former prime minister Yousuf Raza Gillani and other party leaders upon arrival at the Multan airport. She will be representing PPP Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari at today’s rally of opposition parties.
The 27-year-old Bhutto will be making her political debut at the rally by addressing the public meeting in the absence of her brother who has been self-isolating himself after testing positive for the coronavirus last week.

PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz has also left for Multan in convoy. Shortly after her departure, she tweeted: “People of the land of saints, your daughters [Maryam and Aseefa] are coming to you.”

The Opposition has decided to jointly move a no-confidence motion against National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser, sources said Wednesday, after two days of ruckus in the Lower House. The development came during a meeting of Opposition party leaders in Islamabad, where they decided to form a committee that would draft a plan of action to move the no-confidence motion. Yesterday's proceedings in the NA marked the "darkest day for democracy in Pakistan's history," the Opposition leaders observed, according to the sources. "The Speaker has failed to fulfil his constitutional, legal, democratic, and parliamentary responsibilities [...] he is the protector of every parliament member, but [he has failed in his duties] and is not qualified to hold office anymore," they said. Low payments by fed govt hampered development in Sindh, CM Murad tells Bilawal Bhutto

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had a meeting on Monday at the Bilawal House in Karachi. Former PM's close aide Shahzad Akbar's name placed on ECL

The federal cabinet amended the Exit Control List (ECL) on Tuesday on the recommendation of the Interior Ministry, removing 22 names from the no-fly list and adding 10 people to it, while giving a one-time permission to three people to leave the country. Those added to the ECL included Shahzad Akbar, who served as adviser on interior and accountability to former prime minister Imran Khan, and Ziaul Mustafa Naseem. Both names were included in the ECL based on cases pertaining to a private housing scheme. The cabinet meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, received a briefing from the Climate Change Ministry on the effects of climate change in the country. Lahore Qalandars defeated Peshawar Zalmi by four wickets in their first match of this year's Pakistan Super League (PSL) tournament at the National Stadium in Karachi on Sunday. Pakistan rejects illegal grant of IOK domicile certificates to Indians

Pakistan has categorically rejected the grant of domicile certificates of Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IOK) by the Indian authorities to reportedly 25,000 Indian nationals. In a statement, Foreign Office Spokesperson Aisha Farooqui said that the certificates issued to non-Kashmiris including, among others, the Indian government officials under “Jammu and Kashmir Grant of Domicile Certificate (Procedure), 2020” are illegal, void and in complete violation of the relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions, and International law including the 4th Geneva Convention.
