40 injured due to roof and wall collapse incidents in Sargodha

Sargodha
At least 40 persons sustained injuries due to roof and wall collapse incidents in different area of Sargodha as rain and windstorm hit the city on Friday night.

The roof and wall collapse incidents were reported in Chak 79 Shumali, Chak 47, Chak 91, Factory Area, Block No 17, Block No 24, Sarwar Colony, Eidgah, Jameel Park, Ghani Park, Jat Colony and other areas.

Rescue operations area underway to provide relief to the people in different areas of Sargodha. Rescue sources said that a large number women and children are among the injured.

The government of Sindh has sought help from the Pakistan Army in implementing coronavirus SOPs as cases of the virus surge across the country. The provincial government has written to the Ministry of Interior, seeking the army's help for the civil administration under Article 245 of the Constitution.
