Punjab govt reduces price of 10kg flour bag to Rs 490 : CM Punjab

Chief Minister Punjab Hamza Shahbaz has announced relief for the people of the province and reduced price of 10 kg flour bag from Rs.650 to Rs.490. Talking to a presser in Lahore, CM Hamza said that people will not have to stand in queues for flour in Punjab.

While attacking the Imran Khan-led government, he said that Imran has played with the people of Pakistan. He further said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government has destroyed the economy.

"They are not doing politics but spreading anarchy," he said.

CM Hamza went on to say that Imran Khan wants anarchy and chaos in the country. "He talks about revolution now but he has destroyed the country from his Tsunami."

He also said that the economy is on ventilator while political turmoil is on the rise.

Talking about enemies of Pakistan, he said that the enemy is trying to harm the country while Imran is trying to divide army with his conspiracies. "Imran is trying to destroy the institutions," he said.

The CM also attacked Speaker Punjab Assembly Pervaiz Elahi, saying that he is the custodian of the house but he used hooligans in uniforms to attack the Assembly.

He further lamented that it has been more than a month but I don t have any cabinet.

Sindh govt seeks army's help in implementation of coronavirus SOPs

The government of Sindh has sought help from the Pakistan Army in implementing coronavirus SOPs as cases of the virus surge across the country. The provincial government has written to the Ministry of Interior, seeking the army's help for the civil administration under Article 245 of the Constitution. Sindh government said it would inform the interior ministry about details regarding troop employment and equipment after holding consultations over the matter. North Korea imported more than 1 million facial masks and 15,000 pairs of rubber gloves from China in July, shortly before declaring victory over Covid-19, Chinese trade showed on Saturday. Pyongyang last week declared victory over the coronavirus, ending a little-detailed fight against “fever” cases that had risen to 4.77 million. It has registered no new such cases since July 29. Still, China exported 1.23 million facial masks to North Korea in July, worth $44,307, surging from 17,000 the previous month, according to data released by Chinese customs. From January to July, the last month for which data is available, the North bought more than 11.93 million masks from China, data showed. The euro , seen as vulnerable to a Federal Reserve hike especially if European rate rises lag, dropped 0.4% on Thursday and was steady in Asia at $1.1297.
