Miami's had a strong start to the 2020 season with a 31–14 win over UAB before trouncing Louisville 47–34 in its ACC opener. Transfer D'Eriq King showed off why he's a dual-threat quarterback after going 18 for 30 with 325 yards and three touchdowns. He also added nine yards rushing on eight carries. Among King's explosive moments, he connected with Brevin Jordan on a 47-yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter to seal the Hurricanes' high-scoring affair.

Florida State is coming off a bye week that included Norvell's positive coronavirus test. He said he tested positive last Friday after being negative twice earlier in the week. In his absence, deputy head coach Chris Thomsen is serving as interim coach, but Norvell remained involved remotely to help the team prepare for Saturday's game.

The Seminoles had a disappointing start to the season after falling 16–13 to Georgia Tech. The team relied on its defense and special teams to stay alive and will look to hit the reset button against its in-state rival.

Miami has won the last three matchups after Florida State rode a seven-game win streak from 2010-16.

"Hey, it's Miami-Florida State,” Diaz told reporters last week. "It doesn't matter what the records are we always know that's a huge weekend and our players understand what's on the line when Florida State comes to town."

Pyongyang last week declared victory over the coronavirus, ending a little-detailed fight against “fever” cases that had risen to 4.77 million. It has registered no new such cases since July 29. Still, China exported 1.23 million facial masks to North Korea in July, worth $44,307, surging from 17,000 the previous month, according to data released by Chinese customs. Western sanctions against Russia could cause the International Space Station to crash, the head of Russian space agency Roscosmos warned on Saturday, calling for the punitive measures to be lifted. According to Dmitry Rogozin, the sanctions, some of which predate Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine, could disrupt the operation of Russian spacecraft servicing the ISS. The government of Sindh has sought help from the Pakistan Army in implementing coronavirus SOPs as cases of the virus surge across the country. The provincial government has written to the Ministry of Interior, seeking the army's help for the civil administration under Article 245 of the Constitution. Pakistan Army on Monday continued its relief and rescue operation in Karachi, Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR). According to a statement issued by the military’s media wing, the Army personnel removed rainwater from underpasses located at Golimar, Golimar and KPT, adding that these underpasses have been reopened for traffic. Monsoon rains add to Karachi’s woes, kill two youngsters

A powerful monsoon system formed in the Arabian Sea caused torrential downpours in various parts of Karachi Sunday evening, but it claimed the lives of two youngsters. According to the police, a woman and her three-month-old daughter fell into a flooded nullah in the Buffer Zone area while they were passing through on a motorbike.
