Ali Zaidi complains PM Imran about CM Sindh’s behaviour in Meeting

Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Zaidi has penned a letter to Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan after a verbal clash with Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah during the Karachi Transformation Plan meeting earlier this month.

 

Sources said the development comes after CM Sindh wrote a letter to PM Imran Khan complaining about the behavior of Ali Zaidi in the meeting.

The federal minister said that Murad Ali Shah had the audacity to write to the PM and his letter shows nothing but arrogance and conceit.

“He does not even have the etiquette and manners on how to address the office of the Prime Minister.”

Ali Zaidi complained in his letter that six months have been passed to the formation of the Karachi Transformation Plan committee, but CM Sindh Murad Ali Shah is not answerable to anyone.

While presenting his side of stroy, the minister said that during a meeting on January 16, he requested CM Sindh to include the devolution of organizations like SBCA and SWWMB to divisional levels as committed by him months ago.

“CM Sindh replied by saying that I’m not answerable to you” 3 times. So if Shah feels he’s not even answerable to elected members of the National Assembly from his province then there was no further need for me to waste my time sitting in that meeting and I walked out”, Ali Zaidi said.

Four soldiers martyred in gun battle with terrorists in North Waziristan: ISPR

Four soldiers were martyred in North Waziristan's Hassan Khel area during an exchange of fire with terrorists who attempted to infiltrate into Pakistan from Afghanistan in the night between March 23 and March 24, the military's media affairs wing said on Thursday. Saudi princess freed after three years in jail

Saudi authorities have released a princess and her daughter who had been held without charge for nearly three years in the capital, a human rights group said on Saturday. Former PM's close aide Shahzad Akbar's name placed on ECL

The federal cabinet amended the Exit Control List (ECL) on Tuesday on the recommendation of the Interior Ministry, removing 22 names from the no-fly list and adding 10 people to it, while giving a one-time permission to three people to leave the country. Those added to the ECL included Shahzad Akbar, who served as adviser on interior and accountability to former prime minister Imran Khan, and Ziaul Mustafa Naseem. Both names were included in the ECL based on cases pertaining to a private housing scheme. Pakistan rejects illegal grant of IOK domicile certificates to Indians

Pakistan has categorically rejected the grant of domicile certificates of Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IOK) by the Indian authorities to reportedly 25,000 Indian nationals. In a statement, Foreign Office Spokesperson Aisha Farooqui said that the certificates issued to non-Kashmiris including, among others, the Indian government officials under “Jammu and Kashmir Grant of Domicile Certificate (Procedure), 2020” are illegal, void and in complete violation of the relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions, and International law including the 4th Geneva Convention. The spokesperson for the Afghan Taliban on Monday declared that the war in the country is over, saying that the group desires peaceful relations with the world. The statement comes a day after the Afghan Taliban entered Kabul as President Ashraf Ghani left the country, saying he wanted avoid bloodshed and conflict.
