South Africa makes 185 runs after lost their 7 wickets against Pakistan on Tuesday.

South Africa captain Quinton de Kock had won the toss earlier and decided to bat in the first Test against Pakistan.

The home series is being played behind closed doors because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

After receiving flak for an embarrassing defeat at the hands of New Zealand in their last series, Pakistan are now seeking redemption as the squad hopes to win on their home ground.

The opening Test in Karachi will be a perfect opportunity for the squad, especially Babar Azam, who will finally make his debut as Pakistan’s Test captain after his absence in the series in New Zealand because of injury.

It was expected that Pakistan will prepare a low, slow, and spinner-friendly wicket in a bid to exploit South Africa’s weakness against quality spin.

In the batting arena, Babar holds an eminent position with players like the seasoned Azhar Ali looking to make their presence felt in what is a rare home Test for the Pakistanis.

Western sanctions against Russia could cause the International Space Station to crash, the head of Russian space agency Roscosmos warned on Saturday, calling for the punitive measures to be lifted. According to Dmitry Rogozin, the sanctions, some of which predate Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine, could disrupt the operation of Russian spacecraft servicing the ISS. The government of Sindh has sought help from the Pakistan Army in implementing coronavirus SOPs as cases of the virus surge across the country. The provincial government has written to the Ministry of Interior, seeking the army's help for the civil administration under Article 245 of the Constitution. Pakistan Army on Monday continued its relief and rescue operation in Karachi, Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR). According to a statement issued by the military’s media wing, the Army personnel removed rainwater from underpasses located at Golimar, Golimar and KPT, adding that these underpasses have been reopened for traffic. However, the dewatering process was continued in various areas inundated with rainwater, read the statement. The Army personnel were also shifting vehicles trapped in rainwater to safe locations and removing other obstacles from the major thoroughfares in order to ensure smooth flow of traffic in the city.
