Corona positivity rate jumps to 3.65% in pakistan
The COVID-19 positivity ratio in Pakistan has jumped to 3.65 per cent over the past 24 hours, reported.

According to the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) data, 25 more people lost their lives, lifting the nationwide fatalities to 22,520.
The country’s caseload climbed to 969,476 after 1,737 more people tested positive for the deadly virus during this period. The new infections emerged when 47,528 tests were conducted during the said period.
The active cases were recorded at 35,573. The positivity ratio of COVID-19 cases reported a sharp increase and was recorded at 3.65% in Pakistan.

The number of people who have recuperated from the disease since the pandemic began climbed to 911,383 after 774 more recovered in the last 24 hours.

Thus far, Punjab has reported a total of 347,553 COVID-19 infections, Sindh 344,223, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 139,008, Islamabad 83,400, Balochistan 27,781, Azad Jammu and Kashmir 20,811 and Gilgit Baltistan 6,700.

As of July 9, as many as 14,698,191 people have been partially vaccinated against the deadly virus, while 3,530,044 people have received both doses of the vaccine.

Six more die in rain-related incidents in Karachi

At least six people lost their lives in rain-related incidents on Friday as heavy rainfall wreaked havoc in Karachi, bringing up the toll in three days to 14. Following a rain forecast, different areas of the port city continued to receive moderate to heavy showers under the influence of a monsoon system that is present over Karachi. The most rain was recorded in the Gulshan-e-Hadeed neighbourhood, which received 94.7mm of rain during two spells. Four soldiers were martyred in North Waziristan's Hassan Khel area during an exchange of fire with terrorists who attempted to infiltrate into Pakistan from Afghanistan in the night between March 23 and March 24, the military's media affairs wing said on Thursday. According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), a group of terrorists tried to infiltrate into Pakistan at midnight, but their attempt was foiled due to the "alertness and timely response of army troops". The terrorists, however, retaliated by opening fire, the statement said, adding that the soldiers "reciprocated in a befitting manner". Former PM's close aide Shahzad Akbar's name placed on ECL

The federal cabinet amended the Exit Control List (ECL) on Tuesday on the recommendation of the Interior Ministry, removing 22 names from the no-fly list and adding 10 people to it, while giving a one-time permission to three people to leave the country. Those added to the ECL included Shahzad Akbar, who served as adviser on interior and accountability to former prime minister Imran Khan, and Ziaul Mustafa Naseem. Both names were included in the ECL based on cases pertaining to a private housing scheme. Saudi authorities have released a princess and her daughter who had been held without charge for nearly three years in the capital, a human rights group said on Saturday. Pakistan rejects illegal grant of IOK domicile certificates to Indians

Pakistan has categorically rejected the grant of domicile certificates of Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IOK) by the Indian authorities to reportedly 25,000 Indian nationals. In a statement, Foreign Office Spokesperson Aisha Farooqui said that the certificates issued to non-Kashmiris including, among others, the Indian government officials under “Jammu and Kashmir Grant of Domicile Certificate (Procedure), 2020” are illegal, void and in complete violation of the relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions, and International law including the 4th Geneva Convention.
