Corona claims 66 more lives in pakistan within a day
With the 66 more COVID-19 deaths in Pakistan during the past 24 hours, the country has passed the grim milestone of 27,000 by the pandemic,on Thursday, quoting the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC).

The daily tests conducted during the period to determine COVID-19 infections were 56,778 out of which 3,012 turned up positive.
Overall 1,112,236 people have recovered their health back from the pandemic, including 3,897 in the past 24 hours.

5,039 people are still in critical condition. The COVID-19 positivity rate remained 5.30 per cent during the last 24 hours.
Sindh remains the worst-hit province with 447,678 COVID-19 cases, followed by Punjab with 418, 196 infections.
slamabad has registered 103,549 cases so far, while 169,972 cases have been reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).

Balochistan has registered 32,671 cases. Azad Jammu and Kashmir 33,551 cases and GB has reported 10,204 infections so far.

Yesterday, Pakistan begun free of cost administration of Russia’s Sputnik vaccine at a Lahore COVID vaccination centre as previously private health institutes were charging fees for its jabs.

The development came during a meeting of Opposition party leaders in Islamabad, where they decided to form a committee that would draft a plan of action to move the no-confidence motion. Yesterday's proceedings in the NA marked the "darkest day for democracy in Pakistan's history," the Opposition leaders observed, according to the sources. The federal cabinet amended the Exit Control List (ECL) on Tuesday on the recommendation of the Interior Ministry, removing 22 names from the no-fly list and adding 10 people to it, while giving a one-time permission to three people to leave the country. Those added to the ECL included Shahzad Akbar, who served as adviser on interior and accountability to former prime minister Imran Khan, and Ziaul Mustafa Naseem. Both names were included in the ECL based on cases pertaining to a private housing scheme. The cabinet meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, received a briefing from the Climate Change Ministry on the effects of climate change in the country. Pakistan rejects illegal grant of IOK domicile certificates to Indians

Pakistan has categorically rejected the grant of domicile certificates of Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IOK) by the Indian authorities to reportedly 25,000 Indian nationals. In a statement, Foreign Office Spokesperson Aisha Farooqui said that the certificates issued to non-Kashmiris including, among others, the Indian government officials under “Jammu and Kashmir Grant of Domicile Certificate (Procedure), 2020” are illegal, void and in complete violation of the relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions, and International law including the 4th Geneva Convention.
