Asif Zardari concerned over petrol price hike

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Co-Chairman Asif Zardari and Prime minister Shehbaz Sharif
Former president and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Co-Chairman Asif Zardari expressed concern on Tuesday over the latest hike the petrol price by Rs6.72 for the next fortnight, and urged the government to consult the allies before taking such important decisions.

“Pakistan People’s Party is a part of the government and supports it, but there must be consultation when it comes to such decisions,” he said in a statement issued by the PPP on its Twitter handle.

Zardari said that PPP and other coalition parties had joined the government to give relief to the people. “We are with the prime minister.

I will meet him soon and talk to him about the [government’s] economic team,” the PPP co-chairman added.

The government of Sindh has sought help from the Pakistan Army in implementing coronavirus SOPs as cases of the virus surge across the country. The provincial government has written to the Ministry of Interior, seeking the army's help for the civil administration under Article 245 of the Constitution. Still, China exported 1.23 million facial masks to North Korea in July, worth $44,307, surging from 17,000 the previous month, according to data released by Chinese customs. Body of 14-year-old boy found in Lahore

Police on Thursday recovered a body of a 14-year-old boy from a house in Uch Sharif, an area located in Punjab’s district of Bahawalpur. According to police, the body of the boy was found from a house in Basti Jamra in Uch Sharif and the people living in the house have vacated the premises. Abdul Hameed, father of the deceased boy said, a friend of his son named Farhan took with him and later his body was found. The police is investigating the matter.
