I was charged after seeing me alone, Rana Shamim
Former Chief Judge Rana Shamim has said that the fault was his who printed and the charge was imposed on me. "My lawyers are stuck in traffic and I was charged after seeing me alone," former Chief Judge Rana Shamim said while replying to a question from reporters after the indictment.

He said, "The journalist who published the news was forgiven and Ansar Abbasi asked me before publishing the news, but I replied that I could not say anything unless the affidavit was in front of me."

Asked about former Chief Justice Saqib Nisar, he said that it will be discussed only when Saqib Nisar brings the counter affidavit.

"What happens with an indictment?" he said. The affidavit was sealed and i don't know how it went public. An indictment does not mean punishing anyone. Now the case will go on in court and then we will see.

Rana Shamim said, "I have been raped because my fault was not my fault.

The journalist asked, "Did you sign the affidavit in Nawaz Sharif's office?" So the former chief judge said, "Don't talk nonsense."

Pyongyang last week declared victory over the coronavirus, ending a little-detailed fight against “fever” cases that had risen to 4.77 million. It has registered no new such cases since July 29. Still, China exported 1.23 million facial masks to North Korea in July, worth $44,307, surging from 17,000 the previous month, according to data released by Chinese customs. The spokesperson for the Afghan Taliban on Monday declared that the war in the country is over, saying that the group desires peaceful relations with the world. Western sanctions against Russia could cause the International Space Station to crash, the head of Russian space agency Roscosmos warned on Saturday, calling for the punitive measures to be lifted. Pakistan Army on Monday continued its relief and rescue operation in Karachi, Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR). According to a statement issued by the military’s media wing, the Army personnel removed rainwater from underpasses located at Golimar, Golimar and KPT, adding that these underpasses have been reopened for traffic. However, the dewatering process was continued in various areas inundated with rainwater, read the statement. The Army personnel were also shifting vehicles trapped in rainwater to safe locations and removing other obstacles from the major thoroughfares in order to ensure smooth flow of traffic in the city. Sindh govt seeks army's help in implementation of coronavirus SOPs

The government of Sindh has sought help from the Pakistan Army in implementing coronavirus SOPs as cases of the virus surge across the country. The provincial government has written to the Ministry of Interior, seeking the army's help for the civil administration under Article 245 of the Constitution. Sindh government said it would inform the interior ministry about details regarding troop employment and equipment after holding consultations over the matter. On the other hand, Sindh information ministry Nasir Hussain Shah has warned that the provincial government will impose a lockdown if the situation turns alarming in Sindh. President Dr Arif Alvi Thursday signed the Election (Amendment) Bill, 2021, which had earlier been passed by the Parliament and asked opposing voices not to be afraid of “simple” electronic voting machines (EVMs) which he hoped would help in holding a fair election and bringing an end to rigging. “People will have to trust it. It involves no advancement. It is too simple. The country achieves progress by adopting new things,” the president said while addressing a ceremony.
