WhatsApp in works to allow iOS message transfer to Android

WhatsApp on Friday submitted a new update through the TestFlight beta Programme, which would allow users to move their chat history from Android to iOS once approved.

“WhatsApp is officially working on the ability to migrate your chat history from WhatsApp for Android to iOS, for a future update!” read a post on WABetainfo.com.

According to the platform that keeps an update about the instant-messaging app, users would be able to migrate their chat history from iOS to Samsung devices.

“WhatsApp and Google have already enabled the support for migrating your chat history from iOS to Pixel phones,” WABetainfor said, adding that Android 12 devices will be supported to receive the chat history from iOS at a later date.

Sharing screenshots of the development, the portal noted that they had already spotted the ability to move chat history from Android to iOS, “available in a future update, but there was no news on iOS.”

“As you can see in this screenshot, WhatsApp will ask for your permission to import the chat history before starting the process,” it said.

However, WABetainfo further added that unfortunately, this feature is not available right now, and supported operating systems are unknown.

Pyongyang last week declared victory over the coronavirus, ending a little-detailed fight against “fever” cases that had risen to 4.77 million. It has registered no new such cases since July 29. The spokesperson for the Afghan Taliban on Monday declared that the war in the country is over, saying that the group desires peaceful relations with the world. The statement comes a day after the Afghan Taliban entered Kabul as President Ashraf Ghani left the country, saying he wanted avoid bloodshed and conflict. Western sanctions against Russia could cause the International Space Station to crash, the head of Russian space agency Roscosmos warned on Saturday, calling for the punitive measures to be lifted. Pakistan Army on Monday continued its relief and rescue operation in Karachi, Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR). According to a statement issued by the military’s media wing, the Army personnel removed rainwater from underpasses located at Golimar, Golimar and KPT, adding that these underpasses have been reopened for traffic. However, the dewatering process was continued in various areas inundated with rainwater, read the statement. Sindh govt seeks army's help in implementation of coronavirus SOPs

The government of Sindh has sought help from the Pakistan Army in implementing coronavirus SOPs as cases of the virus surge across the country. The provincial government has written to the Ministry of Interior, seeking the army's help for the civil administration under Article 245 of the Constitution. Sindh government said it would inform the interior ministry about details regarding troop employment and equipment after holding consultations over the matter. On the other hand, Sindh information ministry Nasir Hussain Shah has warned that the provincial government will impose a lockdown if the situation turns alarming in Sindh. President Dr Arif Alvi Thursday signed the Election (Amendment) Bill, 2021, which had earlier been passed by the Parliament and asked opposing voices not to be afraid of “simple” electronic voting machines (EVMs) which he hoped would help in holding a fair election and bringing an end to rigging. “People will have to trust it.
