Asif Ali Zardari invites Fazlur Rehman to attend Larkana public gathering
Pakistan People’s Party co-chairman and former president of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari on Thursday has invited Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam chief and head of Pakistan Democratic Movement Maulana Fazlur Rehman to attend the death anniversary event of Benazir Bhutto in Larkana on December 27.

The invitation was extended during a telephonic conversation between Asif Ali Zardari and Maulana Fazlur Rehman.
Both the leaders also discussed the overall political situation and future strategy for the campaign against the incumbent government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

It may be noted that PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari had invited PML-N vice president Maryam Nawaz to attend his mother’s death anniversary event at Garhi Khuda Buksh, earlier this month, which was accepted by her.

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz vice president Maryam Nawaz will attend the death anniversary event of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto on December 27 in Larkana.

According to a schedule released by PML-N, Maryam would reach Sukkur on December 26, where she will address the workers convention of the party. Later, she will leave for Larkana on December 27.

Four soldiers were martyred in North Waziristan's Hassan Khel area during an exchange of fire with terrorists who attempted to infiltrate into Pakistan from Afghanistan in the night between March 23 and March 24, the military's media affairs wing said on Thursday. According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), a group of terrorists tried to infiltrate into Pakistan at midnight, but their attempt was foiled due to the "alertness and timely response of army troops". Saudi authorities have released a princess and her daughter who had been held without charge for nearly three years in the capital, a human rights group said on Saturday. Former PM's close aide Shahzad Akbar's name placed on ECL

The federal cabinet amended the Exit Control List (ECL) on Tuesday on the recommendation of the Interior Ministry, removing 22 names from the no-fly list and adding 10 people to it, while giving a one-time permission to three people to leave the country. Those added to the ECL included Shahzad Akbar, who served as adviser on interior and accountability to former prime minister Imran Khan, and Ziaul Mustafa Naseem. Both names were included in the ECL based on cases pertaining to a private housing scheme. Pakistan rejects illegal grant of IOK domicile certificates to Indians

Pakistan has categorically rejected the grant of domicile certificates of Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IOK) by the Indian authorities to reportedly 25,000 Indian nationals. In a statement, Foreign Office Spokesperson Aisha Farooqui said that the certificates issued to non-Kashmiris including, among others, the Indian government officials under “Jammu and Kashmir Grant of Domicile Certificate (Procedure), 2020” are illegal, void and in complete violation of the relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions, and International law including the 4th Geneva Convention. The spokesperson for the Afghan Taliban on Monday declared that the war in the country is over, saying that the group desires peaceful relations with the world. The statement comes a day after the Afghan Taliban entered Kabul as President Ashraf Ghani left the country, saying he wanted avoid bloodshed and conflict.
