CTD killed two terrorists in an encounter
Two terrorists of a banned outfit have been arrested in injured condition after an exchange of fire with the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) officials in Sukkur

The CTD in-charge told the media that a raid was conducted on a tip-off to arrest two terrorists of a banned outfit, Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in the vicinity of Patni police station of Sukkur.

After an exchange of fire, the terrorists were arrested in injured condition by the CTD’s raiding team. They were shifted to a hospital immediately after being arrested, however, they succumbed to wounds during the treatment, said CTD.

CTD in-charge Mazhar Shahwani said that the terrorists were identified as Wilayat and Shah Mehmood.

Earlier on February 25, the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) of Sindh Police had detained at least two alleged Sindhudesh Revolutionary Army (SRA) terrorists while leading a raid in Old Sabzi Mandi area.

The operation had been carried out in collaboration with Sindh Rangers as well.

The CTD unit had said the alleged terrorists are involved in ambush attacks on Rangers vehicles and have launched hand grenades at check posts as well. They belong to SRA Asghar Shah group, claimed CTD’s Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Arif Aziz following the arrests.

North Korea imported more than 1 million facial masks and 15,000 pairs of rubber gloves from China in July, shortly before declaring victory over Covid-19, Chinese trade showed on Saturday. Pyongyang last week declared victory over the coronavirus, ending a little-detailed fight against “fever” cases that had risen to 4.77 million. It has registered no new such cases since July 29. Still, China exported 1.23 million facial masks to North Korea in July, worth $44,307, surging from 17,000 the previous month, according to data released by Chinese customs. Sindh govt seeks army's help in implementation of coronavirus SOPs

The government of Sindh has sought help from the Pakistan Army in implementing coronavirus SOPs as cases of the virus surge across the country. The provincial government has written to the Ministry of Interior, seeking the army's help for the civil administration under Article 245 of the Constitution. Pakistan Army on Monday continued its relief and rescue operation in Karachi, Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR). According to a statement issued by the military’s media wing, the Army personnel removed rainwater from underpasses located at Golimar, Golimar and KPT, adding that these underpasses have been reopened for traffic.
