FM Qureshi welcomes pakistan india cease fire agreement
Foreign Minister (FM) Shah Mahmood Qureshi has welcomed the agreement of strict observance of the ceasefire agreement between Pakistan and India along the Line of Control (LoC) and other sectors, on Thursday.

Exclusively talking to ARY News, FM Qureshi termed the development as a positive omen and urged India to strictly follow the ceasefire agreement.

He said that Pakistan has been highlighting the ceasefire violations at all international forums from the Indian side, which has claimed the lives of many innocent people. “It is a positive development if India sticks to it.”

Qureshi maintained that the situation in Indian occupied Kashmir worsened after the August 5 move by Modi government. India is facing humiliation at all international forums after stripping the special status of IoK.

Earlier, the Director-General of Military Operations (DGMOs) of Pakistan and India have agreed to address each other’s core issues and concerns, which have the propensity to disturb the peace and lead to violence.

According to ISPR, the two Director Generals of Military Operations held discussions over the established mechanism of hotline contact.

The two sides reviewed the situation along Line of Control and all other sectors in a free, frank and cordial atmosphere.

Both sides agreed for strict observance of all agreements, understandings and ceasefire along the LoC and all other sectors, with effect from last midnight.

Western sanctions against Russia could cause the International Space Station to crash, the head of Russian space agency Roscosmos warned on Saturday, calling for the punitive measures to be lifted. The government of Sindh has sought help from the Pakistan Army in implementing coronavirus SOPs as cases of the virus surge across the country. The provincial government has written to the Ministry of Interior, seeking the army's help for the civil administration under Article 245 of the Constitution. Sindh government said it would inform the interior ministry about details regarding troop employment and equipment after holding consultations over the matter. Pakistan Army on Monday continued its relief and rescue operation in Karachi, Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR). According to a statement issued by the military’s media wing, the Army personnel removed rainwater from underpasses located at Golimar, Golimar and KPT, adding that these underpasses have been reopened for traffic. However, the dewatering process was continued in various areas inundated with rainwater, read the statement. Monsoon rains add to Karachi’s woes, kill two youngsters

A powerful monsoon system formed in the Arabian Sea caused torrential downpours in various parts of Karachi Sunday evening, but it claimed the lives of two youngsters. According to the police, a woman and her three-month-old daughter fell into a flooded nullah in the Buffer Zone area while they were passing through on a motorbike. The woman was rescued in an unconscious state, while a search for her daughter was initiated.
