PPP chairman asks PM to stop selling lies
Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Wednesday has said that the nation has never witnessed before such a worst economic condition of the country.

Addressing the members in National Assembly (NA), the PPP leader said the government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) signed a weak deal with International Monetary Fund (IMF), adding that the general masses are bearing the after effects of this agreement.

Prime Minister Imran Khan is preparing to increase the prices of basic commodities. The meaning of new Pakistan is only unemployment, inflation and poverty. This is not change but devastation, he stated.

Bilawal Bhutto alleged the incumbent government of destroying agriculture sector and farmers by creating urea crisis. The ministers took ineffective decisions because of their stubbornness and ego, he expressed.

The PPP leader said that the government had rejected the offer of Opposition Leader in NA Shehbaz Sharif regarding National Economic Dialogue. The ministers were adamant over not talking to opposition on any issue. You could have presented the stance of opposition before IMF, he stated.

Bilawal Bhutto further asserted that the mini budget will hike the prices of 1000cc cars by 100 percent. The party of ‘Twitter and Facebook’ has also imposed new taxes on Information Technology (IT) sector and aid money, he went on to say.

The PPP chief asked when will PM stop selling his lies and think about the people. He demanded the federation to raise the salaries of government employees by 100percent, adding that Sindh authorities have set Rs25000 as minimum wage to provide relief to the nation.

He further said that agriculture sector suffered a lot over unequal distribution of water. PM said that coronavirus is major crisis of this century but it’s not true. He [Imran Khan] is actually the biggest crisis in Pakistan, he reiterated.

Talking about new initiatives of PTI government, Bilawal said that health card will badly affect health sector of the country. The federation is misusing resources in the name of health cards. We need to raise the standard of hospitals, he stated.

Six more die in rain-related incidents in Karachi

At least six people lost their lives in rain-related incidents on Friday as heavy rainfall wreaked havoc in Karachi, bringing up the toll in three days to 14. Following a rain forecast, different areas of the port city continued to receive moderate to heavy showers under the influence of a monsoon system that is present over Karachi. The most rain was recorded in the Gulshan-e-Hadeed neighbourhood, which received 94.7mm of rain during two spells. Four soldiers were martyred in North Waziristan's Hassan Khel area during an exchange of fire with terrorists who attempted to infiltrate into Pakistan from Afghanistan in the night between March 23 and March 24, the military's media affairs wing said on Thursday. According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), a group of terrorists tried to infiltrate into Pakistan at midnight, but their attempt was foiled due to the "alertness and timely response of army troops". The terrorists, however, retaliated by opening fire, the statement said, adding that the soldiers "reciprocated in a befitting manner". Former PM's close aide Shahzad Akbar's name placed on ECL

The federal cabinet amended the Exit Control List (ECL) on Tuesday on the recommendation of the Interior Ministry, removing 22 names from the no-fly list and adding 10 people to it, while giving a one-time permission to three people to leave the country. Those added to the ECL included Shahzad Akbar, who served as adviser on interior and accountability to former prime minister Imran Khan, and Ziaul Mustafa Naseem. Both names were included in the ECL based on cases pertaining to a private housing scheme. Saudi authorities have released a princess and her daughter who had been held without charge for nearly three years in the capital, a human rights group said on Saturday. Pakistan rejects illegal grant of IOK domicile certificates to Indians

Pakistan has categorically rejected the grant of domicile certificates of Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IOK) by the Indian authorities to reportedly 25,000 Indian nationals. In a statement, Foreign Office Spokesperson Aisha Farooqui said that the certificates issued to non-Kashmiris including, among others, the Indian government officials under “Jammu and Kashmir Grant of Domicile Certificate (Procedure), 2020” are illegal, void and in complete violation of the relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions, and International law including the 4th Geneva Convention.
