US slapping sanctions against Putin will be 'over-the-top' move: Dmitry Peskov

Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov
Russia says imposing sanctions against President Vladimir Putin by Washington Administration would be an over-the-top measure, tantamount to breaking off the relations between the two countries.

Talking to the reporters in Moscow, Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said his country is always ready and will always do what best suits its interests.

Earlier on Wednesday, a group of Democrat legislators led by Senator Bob Menendez of New Jersey introduced a bill to the US Senate for placing restrictions against Russia, if tensions around Ukraine escalate.
