COVID-19 claims 70 more lives across pakistan within a day
Overall 1,002,430 have recovered from the pandemic, adding that the positivity rate of infections was recorded at 6.23 per cent.

The COVID-19 claimed 70 more lives across Pakistan in the last 24 hours, the NCOC said, adding that 4,893 people are in critical condition.

Overall 17,115,272 tests have been conducted so far to diagnose the deadly virus in Pakistan including 51,982 in the past 24 hours.
Sindh province is the most affected region of the country with 417,439infections, followed by the Punjab province which has reported 377,208 cases.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa remains third on the list with 155,153 cases. Islamabad, 95,491, Balochistan, 31,755, AJK, 30,314 and GB have reported 9,526 new infections, so far.

Western sanctions against Russia could cause the International Space Station to crash, the head of Russian space agency Roscosmos warned on Saturday, calling for the punitive measures to be lifted. The government of Sindh has sought help from the Pakistan Army in implementing coronavirus SOPs as cases of the virus surge across the country. The provincial government has written to the Ministry of Interior, seeking the army's help for the civil administration under Article 245 of the Constitution. Sindh government said it would inform the interior ministry about details regarding troop employment and equipment after holding consultations over the matter. Pakistan Army on Monday continued its relief and rescue operation in Karachi, Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR). According to a statement issued by the military’s media wing, the Army personnel removed rainwater from underpasses located at Golimar, Golimar and KPT, adding that these underpasses have been reopened for traffic. Monsoon rains add to Karachi’s woes, kill two youngsters

A powerful monsoon system formed in the Arabian Sea caused torrential downpours in various parts of Karachi Sunday evening, but it claimed the lives of two youngsters. According to the police, a woman and her three-month-old daughter fell into a flooded nullah in the Buffer Zone area while they were passing through on a motorbike. The woman was rescued in an unconscious state, while a search for her daughter was initiated.
