3 JF-17 Thunder jets handed over to Nigeria
Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC) Kamra on Friday handed over three JF-17 Thunder jets to Nigeria, News reported, quoting Pakistan Air Force (PAF) spokesperson.

The JF-17 is a state-of-the-art fighter aircraft, featured with outstanding flight performance and strong operational capability.

The graceful ceremony was held at Makudri, Air Base, to mark the 57th anniversary of the Nigerian Air Force. The ceremony was attended by the defense minister of Nigeria as a special guest. Vice chief of the PA, Air Marshal, Syed Noman Ali also attended the ceremony.

Addressing the ceremony, the Nigerian defense minister thanked Pakistan for handing over aircraft and stated that modern JF-17 Thunder jets will help in increasing the capacity of the Nigerian air force.

Air Marshal Noman said Pakistan and Nigeria are enjoying historical bilateral ties. The inclusion of JF-17 Thunder jets into the Nigerian air force will ultimately enhance its capabilities, he added.

Three JF-17 jets were handed over to Nigeria by the Pakistan Aeronautical Complex as per the order schedule.

The federal cabinet amended the Exit Control List (ECL) on Tuesday on the recommendation of the Interior Ministry, removing 22 names from the no-fly list and adding 10 people to it, while giving a one-time permission to three people to leave the country. Those added to the ECL included Shahzad Akbar, who served as adviser on interior and accountability to former prime minister Imran Khan, and Ziaul Mustafa Naseem. Both names were included in the ECL based on cases pertaining to a private housing scheme. The cabinet meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, received a briefing from the Climate Change Ministry on the effects of climate change in the country. Pakistan rejects illegal grant of IOK domicile certificates to Indians

Pakistan has categorically rejected the grant of domicile certificates of Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IOK) by the Indian authorities to reportedly 25,000 Indian nationals. In a statement, Foreign Office Spokesperson Aisha Farooqui said that the certificates issued to non-Kashmiris including, among others, the Indian government officials under “Jammu and Kashmir Grant of Domicile Certificate (Procedure), 2020” are illegal, void and in complete violation of the relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions, and International law including the 4th Geneva Convention.
